Are you into music production, singing or want to learn to mix? We run practical short courses where you can learn industry standard packages such as Logic, and professional vocal technique from tutors who live and work in music.
Music production - tuesdays 6 - 9pm,
Logic and Reason are by far the most professional music production packages – commonly used by professionals from Dr.Dre to Dizzee Rascal.
This course will show how to make and push your tracks to their full potential using these programmes – from sequencing to mixing basics.
You will use and manipulate sounds and even make your own. You will also gain hands-on experience using Macs, which are used in almost every studio. The course also involves arrangement, midi setups, sampling, and much more. So, whatever genre of music you want to produce, this course will be right for you.
cre8tiv® voices - tuesdays 6.30 - 9pm,
New for Summer 2010 this course will be taught by inspirational singer and teacher Kocoa Brown! Kocoa is an experienced singer and skilled teacher who encourages her students to enjoy singing, regardless of their abilities.
The group sing mostly soul, gospel, country and ballad, and whatever your age, background or ability, you'll learn how to create beautiful harmonies and even get your own solo! You'll learn essential vocal technique including breathing and warming up and have a lot of fun along the way.

Learn the secrets of professional music production for advertising and brands and another interesting way to earn a living from music! It’s an amazing opportunity to learn with boutique music production company and music publisher A-BOMB, who specialise in the creative use of sound to picture.

Studio sound - Thursdays 6- 9pm
Come and learn about sound! This course is for music makers at all levels – whether you tinker with Fruity Loops, dabble in Reason or delve into production with Cubase or Logic.
If you are recording acoustic sound (including vocals) or tweaking electronic sound, we’ll teach you the fundamentals of what sound is and how best to work with it.
You will learn the basics of recording (e.g. drums) & editing and the essentials of sound manipulation and synthesis; from EQ, compression & distortion to reverbs and delays; from mix-down all the way to mastering. Our studio is kitted out with Mackie D8B Mix Console & Precision Studio Monitoring, Apple Mac OSX w/ Reason, Logic Pro and Pro Tools HD1.
Our short courses cost £70 for 10-weeks or £35 concessions (proof of entitlement required). To book you place just fill out the booking form and return it to us with payment (cash or postal order). Thanks.
