An explosion of brass, fine words and stunning vocals featuring United Vibrations, Danny Flydan Ryder (Undawurld Starz), Catherine Brogan and JayChai.

Monday March 29 at The New Cross Inn. Hosted by poet/MC Concise One and with resident DJ NG (‘Tell Me’/Rinse FM).

Risin' from the dust

An exhilarating fusion of grime, spoken word, music & film. Do not miss this one. Grime star Ghetts is collaborating live with renowned jazz artist Soweto Kinch. Dub poet queen Jean 'Binta' Breeze and MCs Rinse, Concise One, Levi, and Conrad the Scoundral will all perform as Spoken Word meets Grime at The Albany!

Presented by Apples & Snakes, The Midi Music Company and The Albany, it is also the launch of the new short film GRIT STORY: Still Risin' from the Dust, made by young people who are part of the Grit Story Project funded by The Heritage Lottery Fund.

Jam Session

Every Wednesday evening we host an open jam session. It's a friendly, informal affair - all are welcome so bring whatever you've got! Come and hook up with other musicians and make something happen. We provide a drum kit, backline and PA and there are instruments available so come on down!
Every Wednesday 6 - 8.30 pm, at The Midi Music Company.

In December 2008 we presented the first ever Stush Club!

Headlined by the legendary Jazzie B playing an exclusive set, it was a perfect warm-up for the Christmas festivities and offered a friendly club night for South East London.
