getting into music

The same autumn I auditioned successfully for Young Nala in Disney's world famous musical The Lion King, a role I played at the Lyceum Theatre in London's West End for a year.
The bursary from MMC enabled free voice lessons for a year but I was so passionate and progressed so well that The Conservatoire itself decided to extend the bursary for another 3 years. I have now achieved a Distinction in Grade Five Classical Voice and still take classes there today. When I moved to my present secondary school in East Dulwich, I very quickly found that the skills I had attained from my 3 years of lessons at The Midi Music Company helped me to take advantage of the extensive music activities and facilities. I started writing, composing, arranging and producing my own songs when I was 12 years, and in 2006, at the age of 14, I became the youngest winner of Make It Or Break It, a national song writing contest held by Yamaha and LIPA (Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts) of which Elton John is the Patron.

The Midi Music company has definitely contributed positively to my life. It's always a pleasure to participate in their activities and I recently performed in the Summer Showcase. I hope to release my debut single soon and I will continue to look to the Midi Music Company for support in the future."
