Happy New Year!

Hope you had a good one. We’re all back and excited about 2010. This is our 15th year! Term starts next week and we have some spaces available for music production, mixing and vocals (now taught by the amazing Angie Brown!).We also have some spaces for drums, keyboards, singing or MC Skillz for 11 – 15 year olds, they could also join our band workshop.

Happy Holidays!

We're closed from Friday the 11th of December until January 4th so hope you have a good break and see you in 2010! We have a few places left for courses starting in January. Classes for 5 - 7s are fully booked but if you're interested in guitar, MC Skillz, drums, singing, playing in a band, music production or learning to mix, we may have spaces left.

Come and get into music!

We’re now taking bookings for all our courses – starting January 2010. We have drums, keyboards, guitar and vocal classes for 5 – 15 yr olds. Band workshops for 8 – 15 yr olds and a new MC Skillz course for 11 – 15 yr olds. We also have practical short courses in music production, vocals and mixing for anyone 16+. New this term Angie Brown is teaching our vocals course! She’s a chart-topping inspirational singer and this is a great chance to train with her!

The Breakout Club

A live music, beatbox and poetry extravaganza! Featuring live and direct 12Tone from United Vibrations, incredible beatbox MC Marv-ill, poetic punch from UK Slam champion Catherine Brogan and a new acoustic set from Jimmy Geeza.
Monday November 16 at The New Cross Inn. Live acts from 8pm. Hosted by poet/MC Concise One and resident DJ NG (‘Tell Me’/Rinse FM)

Risin' from the dust

An exhilarating fusion of grime, spoken word, music & film. Do not miss this one: 7.30pm, Friday 16th October. Grime star Ghetts is collaborating live with renowned jazz artist Soweto Kinch. Dub poet queen Jean 'Binta' Breeze and MCs Rinse, Concise One, Levi, and Conrad the Scoundral will all perform as Spoken Word meets Grime at The Albany!
