Wozzy has over thirty years experience in designing and delivering youth arts projects, and a wealth of knowledge throughout a multitude of creative mediums; music, theatre, dance, film and television. Wozzy is also the former Youth Culture Advisor of the previous Mayor of Lewisham, Sir Steve Bullock, and is a Freewoman of the London Borough of Lewisham. She delivers the CICAS® programme, advising aspiring and emerging talent. She manages future Afro jazz four-piece United Vibrations and eight-piece Ska Reggae band Chainska Brassika, and was recently inducted into the Music Week Women in Music Roll of Honour.
She has a flair for nurturing and developing artists across all disciplines, sharing her knowledge with our members during one to one CICAS® sessions. Wozzy enjoys travelling the world, speaks Italian and is learning Spanish, and has created and delivered international youth arts projects in Italy, Lithuania, Ireland, Germany, USA and Mauritius. Her passion for music takes inspiration from a range of genres and artists, including Dawn Penn, Bob Marley, Sade and Roberta Flack. Her wellness routine is a fusion of Hot Yoga, Tai Chi and Club Dancing! It is no surprise that Wozzy loves event management and writing lyrics!
PR & Media Coordinator
Andrea began her career working both on and offstage at theatres including the Royal Court and Battersea Arts Theatre. As she refined her technical skills, a growing interest in the behind-the-scenes work led her to gain an honours degree in Graphic & Media Design from the University of the Arts.
With more than a decade’s experience in the music industry, Andrea has worked for international clients in a PR, sales and marketing capacity, most recently at the world’s largest reggae record label. Her work has been exhibited in London and has led her overseas to the Netherlands, Germany and the US.
Her culturally diverse origins bred a passion for the stories of both the young and the old. For balance and wellbeing, Andrea practises Tai Chi and Qi Gong.
David has a diverse range of experiences in the entertainment and facilities industry. His BSc degree in Disaster Management required structural engineering and mountain rescue skills. Since completing this, David has gained a diploma in Event Safety Management and has conducted independent research on crowd psychology at music festivals. Since moving to London in 2008, David has had operational roles at a number of venues and UK music festivals, from the top of the Shard, to the London 2012 Games.
Advocacy, education and volunteering are other significant interests of David. He also enjoys cycling, climbing and is always up for a game of ultimate frisbee in the park. As a member of Goldsmiths Vocal Ensemble, David has performed with, among others, MMC's very own Angelina Luzi. He has also completed Rock Band on the drums, expert level 😉
David believes that love is bigger than hate, but Jungle is MASSIVE!
Studio Manager | CICAS® Producer
Ahmad is our studio engineer and Trombone player in the four piece Future Afro Jazz band United Vibrations. He always has new projects on the go and is madly skilled on a mixer. He teaches music production on our AYM, Cre8tiv® and Deaf Rave programmes and it is unlikely that you will see him wearing anything other than tye-dye around MMC.
Phil is a founding member of MMC's staff team, and combines his current role as Programme Coordinator with a portfolio of creative activities including media projects, music workshops, and songwriting. Phil plays several instruments including Saxophone, Guitar and Piano. He is a published artist in both Nashville and Los Angeles. He enjoys swimming, reading, and good-natured ridicule.
Vicky has worked in an accounts background for twenty-five years, over ten of which she has devoted to MMC. Vicky was born in South Africa where she studied until the age of 11.
Vicky loves working with figures and is super fast on a calculator. Perhaps nature played a part giving Vicky 11 fingers when she was born to help her count higher than most people. She loves listening to the sultry voice of Ben Howard whilst gardening but prefers more upbeat club music to run to. She uses her great knowledge of Excel spreadsheets and methodical skills to aid the efficient running of the finances at MMC.
Desmond is an experienced and established professional Company Secretary who has worked with The Midi Music Company since inception. He is a professional Company Secretary for a range of businesses and Trusts. He is a wonderful English gentleman with an amazing insight into company law, which has been integral to the charity's business management.
